Practical tips for parents

- Getting here by train
- Children under 12 travel free on Belgian trains with an adult who has a ticket, up to four per adult. From the station, buses 1 and 2 go to the centre every few minutes: €3, under 6 free. On foot it is about 20 minutes.
- Parking
- Cheapest is Centrum-Station: €7.10 for 24 hours, with the bus to the centre and back included for the driver and up to three passengers on the day you arrive. Closer by, Biekorf and Pandreitje (about 7 minutes' walk) cost €2.20 an hour, up to €17.10 a day.
- Buggies
- The streets in the centre are cobbled and our building has stairs only, with a lift for luggage, so a foldable buggy is easiest. Historium and the Belfry do not take buggies inside; the Folk Museum and Sint-Janshospitaal are buggy-friendly.
- Baby changing
- Historium, Sint-Janshospitaal and Choco-Story have changing tables. The city lists every public toilet with one on brugge.be.
- School holidays
- Bruges is busiest in spring, summer and around Christmas. Flemish school holidays: 2 to 8 November 2026, 21 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, 8 to 14 February 2027, 29 March to 11 April 2027, and 1 July to 31 August 2027.
- Back at the suite
- A mini fridge for milk and snacks, a coffee machine for the grown-ups, and a supermarket a few doors down on Oude Burg. For emergencies call 112; the hospital AZ Sint-Jan is about 3 km away. Questions? Message us on WhatsApp.
Questions parents ask

Yes. Three suites have two double beds, or two bedrooms with a double bed each. Nobody sleeps on a sofa bed.

No. Babies up to 2 stay free, one per suite. Children aged 3 and over count as a guest: the suite price covers two guests, each extra guest adds €45 a night.
Do you have a cot?
Yes, and it is free. Just ask when you book and we will put one in your suite.
Is there a lift?
The building has stairs only, with a lift for your luggage. If stairs are hard for you, tell us before you book.
How does check-in work with kids?
You get a door code before you arrive and can check in yourself from 15:00, even late in the evening. Check-out is by 11:00.
Do children pay city tax?
No. Children under 18 do not pay the Bruges city tax.
Can we cancel?
Yes, free of charge up to 72 hours before arrival.
Is it worth booking direct?
